Claude vs GPT vs Gemini: which AI should your business use?

There’s no single best model — only the best fit for a job and a budget. Here’s how we actually choose.

People ask us which AI model is “the best” the way they’d ask which car is fastest. It’s the wrong frame. The right question is: what is this system supposed to do, and what can it cost to run?

Claude is our default when accuracy and documents matter — policies, contracts, support grounded in real content. It reasons carefully, follows instructions closely, and is strong at using tools, which makes it reliable inside real software.

GPT is the versatile all-rounder. Its function-calling and ecosystem are excellent, so when a project needs lots of integrations or broad general capability, it’s often the pragmatic pick.

Gemini earns its place on cost and scale. Its cheaper tiers and very long context make it ideal for reading large volumes of images or documents without the bill spiralling — useful for exactly the paperwork-heavy work SMEs and factories want to automate.

And when data can’t leave the building, or volume is so high that per-token pricing hurts, we reach for open models you can self-host. You trade some raw capability for control and a flat cost.

So the honest answer is “it depends” — but not vaguely. We map the job to the model, estimate the running cost before we build, and pick the smallest tool that does it well. That’s how AI stays affordable instead of becoming another subscription you resent.
